  4. │            IMPORTANT NOTES FOR USING THE ARI CD-MENU PROGRAM             │

  7. - When entering certain programs, some incompatibilities may occur between
  8. the drivers or even a program crash in consequence of system manipulations
  9. of the child program (RESET !!!). In such cases, you should attempt to
  10. start the program directly from the DOS level.
  11.  
  12. - After replaying *.ROL files, the *.MOD playback function remains inactive,
  13. therefore it is necessary to replace *.MOD files first...
  14.  
  15. - Programs that tend to write on CD (Setup, Configuration, etc.) should be
  16. copied to the hard disk and started from there.
  17.  
  18. - In order to provide as much storage space as possible to the program 
  19. called-in, make sure to remove the menu program from the memory before 
  20. addressing, and place it on hard disk; this will take some time. You may
  21. avoid this delay by providing at least 512KB EMM memory to your system.
  22.  
  23. - Should the menu program run inconsistently (e.g. when addressing the
  24. DOS shell, the computer will "be hung up"), verify that the memory
  25. management driver EMM386.EXE (or comparable) is integrated. An entry like
  26. "DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE" should exist in your CONFIG.SYS file...

  30. Some rather hidden functions for selective image viewing, accessible only if
  31. image-files are marked:

  33. [Ctrl]-[S] :     VPIC Slide-Show
  34.  
  35. [Ctrl]-[D] :     Adjust the delay rate (0-99s); preset to 3 seconds
  36.  
  37. [Ctrl]-[K] :     Copies only the file on which the cursor is, any markings
  38.                  will be ignored.
  39.  
  40. [Ctrl]-[ENTER] : Only the image file on which the cursor is will be displayed.
